Our website address is: https://sa-ebooks.co.za (SA eBooks) we are based in a small village in Sedgefield, which is 25 km from Knysna in the Garden Route South Africa. SA eBooks is owned by Terry, who is the founder and owner of Cyber SEO Services (http://cyberseo.co.za)


We collect personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies.

Collecting personal data is necessary to smoothly run the eBook platform, and to make sure you receive paid eBooks you purchase through our system. When you purchase a eBook you active consent to data collection.

At this moment in time we don’t offer paid products. So information such as name, email address, personal account preferences, transactional data, and purchase information are not collected by SA eBooks.

Personal data is not just created by a user’s interactions with our site. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds.

By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users.

However some of our plugins may collect personal data.


When visitors leave comments or testimonials on SA eBooks we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload eBook covers or images to SA eBooks, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


We keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but SA eBooks do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We use Google Analytics to track costumer interaction such as clicks, impressions and queries used when accessing SA eBooks, errors etc…

WordPress does not collect any analytics data. However, our web hosting account collects anonymous analytics data for ranking display.


We do not share your data, and by default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.


We keep contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for two years.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

We also store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.


If you have an account on SA eBooks, or have left comments, or testimonials, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.


Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Terms Of Using SA eBooks

Free eBook Uploads

Our system operates manually. In other-words; all eBooks submitted are manually uploaded into various categories by a ‘human’, and not a ‘program’, which can result in a time factor.

We do not offer a specific time frame, and we do not guarantee that all free eBooks will be uploaded.

eBook uploads will first be viewed by a human. If we find plagiarism or copyright issues, or if the book does not meet our criteria, we will not upload the book.

We reserve the right to decline books that contain swearing or naked images in the product page description (the website is viewed by grannies, grandpas, and kids!) and if the eBook itself contains explicit language or explicit images that could offend sensitive viewers, we reserve the right to add a disclaimer to the product page description.

eBook Plagiarism

We cannot be held liable for free or paid eBooks that contain plagiarism or books that have copright issues, which include videos and images.

Third Party Website Links

On occasions we link outbound to authors websites, and to advertising platforms. We cannot be held responsible for their actions, and we are not liable if they con you!

SA eBook Revenue

Our website earns its income by taking a small income from affiliate advertising and at times, Paid eBook advertising (we receive no income from free eBook uploads, or downloads)


All author contracts with SA eBooks are non-exclusive. You, as the author or publisher retain all ownership and copyright rights to your eBooks, and you as the author or publisher are free to publish or upload your ebooks elsewhere if you choose.

Some authors give us permission to distribute their book(s). The permission granted to us does not include you. If you want to distribute a eBook you found on our website, you have to contact SA eBooks, or the author.

eBook Removal

You can remove your eBooks from SA eBooks at any time by using our contact form. But you cannot take back eBooks that have already been purchased or sampled by readers.

eBook Backup

The publisher (SA eBooks) is not liable or responsible for lost manuscripts or defective storage media or for hacking or malware. You as the Author are obligated to make and retain backup copies of your eBook(s)

eBook Payout

We will pay the Author royalties at the end of each calendar month via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for paid eBook downloads. No royalties shall be paid for free eBook downloads, reviewers, samples or promotional copies.

eBook Cover Design

We offer Free eBook Cover Design to Self Publishing Authors that host there free eBook in our eBook Library; based on our own discretion.

eBook Editing And Proof Reading

We do not offer editing or proof reading, and we cannot be held responsible for editors or proof readers that advertise there services on our website.

Advertising Policy

We offer both sidebar advertising and Pop-Up advertising on selected pages. We reserve the right to decline ads using our own discretion, and reserve the right to terminate ads without prior notice. To find out more about our paid ads visit our advertising page.
